VMware has been known in the market as one of the providers of the best system, server and virtual solution software. And since the product is that good, the price would not be cheap. But, with Petefij Terry Bickers, you may have the best software in a discounted price. One of the software available is the WMware fusion with bootcamp. How to use VMware Fusion with Bootcamp?
Before knowing how, you must first learn the importance of this software. The VMware fusion with bootcamp allows the user to run the windows operating system on an Intel-based Macintosh computer. If you have a Mac computer but wants to run some windows software on it, without actually replacing the current operating system, this software may be your best option.
So, how to use VMware fusion with bootcamp? There are two ways of using the given software. You can either launch it directly or import it. If you opt to use the first option, then all you have to do is to launch the software, open the Fusion menu bar, go to Window and open the Virtual Machine Library (VML). You will see the play button beside the Boot Camp partition, click the button. When a prompt appears asking for your Mac Operating System password; enter the password and allow the authentication process. Wait until the preparation is completed and the Boot Camp partition launches. When a prompt appears, precede with the installation of the VMware tools. After installation, restart Windows. After the rebooting process, log in normally and you may now activate windows on your Mac computer.
There are new versions of fusion that requires another step for its launching. If you bought the Fusion 5.x version, after opening the VML, click the plus button at the upper left corner in the VML and select the new boot camp. Then enter the password, wait for the preparation to complete, install the VMware tools and then reboot.
If you used the Fusion 4.x, after opening the VML, click the Run Boot Camp option at the bottom of the Library window, then enter the password, wait for the preparation to complete, install the VMware tools and then reboot. If you acquired the fusion 3.x version, then click the Home button on the left side of the VML, then open the Run Windows from your Boot Camp partition, then enter the password, wait for the preparation to complete, install the VMware tools and then reboot.
The second option of using the software is by importing it. In importing the Vmware fusion, first launch the software. Open the fusion menu bar, click window, then the VML. Right click the boot camp entry and click import. Enter the administrator’s username and password then enter. Choose the place to save the new virtual machine and then save. If you have an older version of the fusion software, click the import button. Once the import is completed, the virtual machine will now appear in the VML window, which will allow you to use windows.
